Information published on the website may describe our clinic, practitioners, services, rehabilitation approaches, educational material, and ways to contact us.
Website information is not a substitute for an individual assessment or professional healthcare advice.
You should not rely solely on information on this website to diagnose, treat, or manage a medical condition.
3. No Guarantee of Treatment Outcomes
Physiotherapy and rehabilitation outcomes vary between individuals.
RehabDNA does not guarantee:
- a particular treatment outcome;
- complete or permanent resolution of symptoms;
- a specific recovery period;
- avoidance of surgery;
- return to a particular sport or activity by a particular date; or
- any other specific clinical result.
Treatment recommendations are based on the individual’s assessment, presentation, goals, clinical findings, response to treatment, and other relevant factors.
4. Physiotherapy Services
Physiotherapy services are provided by appropriately qualified and registered physiotherapists acting within their professional scope of practice.
The treatment approach may include, where clinically appropriate:

- therapeutic exercise;
- movement rehabilitation;
- manual therapy;
- education;
- functional rehabilitation;
- rehabilitation planning;
- mobility and strengthening exercises;
- injury prevention strategies; and
- other clinically appropriate physiotherapy interventions.
The specific treatment provided to an individual will be determined following assessment and clinical judgment.
5. Individual Assessment
A physiotherapy assessment is required to determine whether physiotherapy is appropriate for an individual’s circumstances.
Information provided through the website, email, telephone, social media, or other communication channels does not replace an in-person clinical assessment.
Where appropriate, a physiotherapist may recommend that a patient seek assessment from another healthcare professional or obtain additional medical investigation.
6. Emergency Situations
RehabDNA is not an emergency medical service.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency or symptoms that may represent an emergency, contact 911 or attend the nearest emergency department.
Do not wait for a response from RehabDNA before seeking emergency medical attention.
7. Appointments
Appointments are subject to availability.
Patients are responsible for providing accurate information when booking an appointment and for attending at the scheduled date and time.
Appointment scheduling and patient information may be managed through Jane App, or another booking system used by RehabDNA.
Appointment availability shown through a booking system does not constitute a guarantee that a particular appointment time will remain available until booking is completed.
8. Cancellation and Missed Appointments
RehabDNA may establish reasonable appointment cancellation, rescheduling, and missed-appointment policies.
Any applicable cancellation or missed-appointment fee will be communicated to the patient before or at the time the relevant policy applies.
Patients should contact RehabDNA as early as reasonably possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.
Nothing in this section is intended to remove or restrict any rights a patient may have under applicable Ontario or Canadian law.
9. Fees and Payment
Fees for physiotherapy services, assessments, treatment sessions, packages, or other services will be communicated to the patient through the applicable booking or payment process or otherwise before the service is provided, where required.
Patients are responsible for paying applicable charges for services they receive, subject to any applicable insurance arrangements or other payment arrangements.
RehabDNA does not guarantee that a patient’s private insurance provider or other third party will reimburse any particular service.
Patients are responsible for confirming their own insurance coverage, eligibility, reimbursement limits, deductibles, and documentation requirements.
10. Insurance and Third-Party Coverage
If a patient intends to submit physiotherapy expenses to an insurance provider, employer benefit plan, automobile insurer, or another third party, the patient is responsible for understanding the requirements of that plan.
RehabDNA may provide appropriate documentation relating to services provided, subject to applicable privacy and professional requirements.
Providing documentation does not guarantee reimbursement by a third party.
11. Patient Responsibilities
Patients are expected to:
- provide accurate and complete information relevant to their care;
- inform the physiotherapist about relevant medical conditions, medications, injuries, procedures, and changes in health;
- follow reasonable instructions provided by their healthcare professional;
- communicate if an exercise or treatment causes unexpected or significant symptoms;
- attend scheduled appointments on time; and
- treat clinic staff, healthcare professionals, and other patients respectfully.
Failure to provide relevant information may affect clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
12. Treatment Plans and Home Exercises
Where appropriate, a physiotherapist may provide exercises, activity recommendations, education, or other instructions for the patient to perform outside the clinic.
Patients should perform exercises according to the instructions provided.
If an exercise or activity produces unexpected, severe, or concerning symptoms, the patient should stop the activity and seek appropriate professional medical advice.
Rehabilitation plans may be modified according to clinical progress and reassessment.
13. Communication
RehabDNA may communicate with patients regarding appointments, treatment-related matters, administrative matters, and other services using communication methods provided or authorized by the patient.
